Food

Food is a great tool to get people, friends together. Even in the Old Testament God would set aside a time to eat and drink with friends to celebrate Himself. This event was also a time to invite non-believers to see that thankfulness does have a destination. What a great parallel to the New Testament when we are told to love our neighbor and feed the poor. Holidays gives us an excuse to get together, cook amazing food and celebrate the bestowments that God has allowed us to manage. May God use opportunities and food to shed His light both in deed and word.
